EARTHDAY 2022- we are way behind in making it all right
Today lets focus in the Dead Sea. Its dropped by 100 metres since the British occupation in the 40s. Thats a lot. About 1 metre per year. I have personally witnessed it drop at least 30 metres since 1983. Thats 40 years. If we dont think we impact the Earth as himans. we need to think again. Since 1983 much of the water was harvested and used by salt/ chemical companies & refineries. In fact the Dead Sea mud has become popular with women for its mineral properties. It also supplies a lot of Potash. Distilled and refined into sea salt. Then theres lack of rainfall. But its the salt and chemical factories that do the lost damage. We are looking at a puddle in the furure. One that could become farm land where the sea once was a world wide tourist attraction. Our biggest problem is the products we are force fed through manipulated consumption .. these products are what does most of the polluting. Not people throwing rubbish on ...
